Terms & Conditions

Welcome to MalluChat. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MalluChat mobile application (the "App"), operated by MalluChat ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App.
  • If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • By using the App, you represent that all registration information you provide is accurate and truthful.

2. Your Account

  • You may register using your email address or a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must verify your email address where required before accessing certain features.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. The Service

MalluChat is a social networking and chat application that allows you to:

  • Create a profile and connect with other users
  • Match and chat with other users in real time
  • Create, share, save, and explore posts, including images and videos
  • Comment on and interact with content shared by others
  • Receive notifications about activity relevant to you

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time without prior notice.

4. User Content

  • You retain ownership of the content you create and share on the App ("User Content"), including posts, comments, photos, videos, and messages.
  • By posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App.
  • You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of sharing it.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Harass, bully, stalk, or intimidate other users
  • Share content that infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
  • Send spam, chain messages, or unsolicited promotional material
  • Attempt to collect or harvest personal data of other users
  • Upload viruses, malware, or attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
  • Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Create accounts through automated means or create multiple accounts to evade a suspension

6. Content Moderation, Reporting & Blocking

  • The App provides tools to report inappropriate content or users and to block other users.
  • We may review, remove, or restrict access to any content that we believe violates these Terms, without prior notice.
  • Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent account termination.
  • We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The App, including its design, logos, trademarks, and software, is owned by MalluChat and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App without our prior written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services (such as Google Sign-In and Firebase) to provide functionality. Your use of these services may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

  • The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
  • We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline. Exercise caution when interacting with people you meet through the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MalluChat and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the App.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MalluChat, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

  • You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from the Settings screen.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 4, 8, 11, and 12) will survive.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala, India.
